What to Do If It Rains on Your Wedding Day

Alanis Morissette referred to rain on your wedding rain as ironic in her song entitled ‘Ironic.’ Perhaps this has something to do with being thorough in planning your big day and ending up having it rain a crazy downpour that you end up canceling your wedding day. Since this is something you wouldn’t want to happen, it’s important that you have a back up plan when it comes to your wedding. Especially if you are having an outdoor wedding, a Plan B can prove to be a truly useful strategy. Here are some tips on how you can handle such an unwanted scenario:

Alternative Venue
When you’re still choosing a wedding venue, make sure you talk to the person in charge about dealing with rain. There are some venues that can arrange tents as an option if there will be a sudden downpour. Otherwise, other venues can simply move the wedding indoors instead of dealing with the rain.
Your Guests
Consider the welfare of your guests when you’re arranging your Plan B. Even if you have already provided tents in your outdoor wedding, you have to remember about the walkway and the areas that do not have covering. Make sure that your guests can stay warm and dry even if there is rain.
Plan Ahead
Stay on top of things and emergencies such as this one by planning ahead. Once you have carefully thought of a possibility of having rain in your wedding day, you can take care of necessary precautions to ensure that your wedding day goes as planned.
