Gray and gold rustic wedding ideas

Fall and winter are perfect for rustic weddings and if you are still lingering on what theme you should choose for your wedding, do take this one into consideration!

Generally speaking, people associate rustic weddings with less elegance and class, but the truth is that choosing the right color theme can change everything for you. Switching from pink and red to gray and gold will add style and femininity to your rustic wedding and it will look absolutely amazing! Here are some of the best gray/silver and gold rustic wedding ideas to take into consideration:
Gold and copper can work wonderfully together and they will both add that “vintage” and “rustic” feeling. You can incorporate them in almost everything at your wedding: from the flower vases to the flowers themselves.
·         Also, going for a golden rustic tiara will look amazing. Simply get a tiara made out of leaves or dried flowers and have it sprayed with gold – you’ll look like a beautiful daughter of Mother Nature!
·         You can have your bridesmaids dress in gold and gray as well (you can either settle on one of the colors and its various shades or on both of them – which works especially well if you want to distinguish the maid of honor from the other attendants).
·         Your wedding cake can be gold or silver as well – it will surely add class and elegance to your rustic wedding!
·         You can have centerpieces made in the same style as the tiara mentioned above as well. White roses and golden roses will look stunning, but this works with wilder flowers and with twigs and branches as well (especially for the winter weddings).
If you want to have a wedding that brings together elegance and the beauty of nature as well, Flourtown Country Club is the place to be at! Come pay us a visit and you’ll be left in awe at the marvelous beauties surrounding our location!

How to create a wedding budget

Weddings are joyous moments, but we cannot all afford spending a fortune on one big party. Most of the couples out there have to stick to a budget – and believe it or not, you can still get a dream-wedding even if you don’t break the bank.

Creating a wedding budget is absolutely crucial if you want to limit your spending as much as possible. Follow the next tips and you will be able to pull off planning a beautiful wedding even when on a shoestring.
·         Start by knowing exactly what you really want and what can be classified just as an “extra-option”. For example, not many brides are ready to make compromises when it comes to their gowns, but they may be more open-minded towards less expensive locations which they can decorate themselves.
·         Establish a budget for each of the major items on your to-do list: food and drinks, décor, attires, bouquet, location, music/entertainment and stationery. Start with the most expensive part (which will most likely be either the attires or the location and the catering services) and end with the details that will not cost as much (e.g. stationery, which you can also do it yourself with a bit of skill and creativity).
·         If you really care about having something at your wedding, don’t just simply give up on it because you can’t afford it. There are always simpler and less expensive ways to really make your dream come true no matter what.
At Flowrtown Country Club, we will welcome you with our arms wide open. We want every single wedding happening under our roof to be amazing and special and this is why we are ready to offer you packages to suit your budget and your dreams at the same time. We love seeing happy couples tying the knot and our venue is just perfect for this very big moment of your life.

Be blemish free on your wedding day

Blemishes are always annoying when they appear – but when that happens on an important day of your life, everything can turn into a real disaster. Your wedding day is definitely not the moment to think that you need three layers of foundation to feel truly pretty and this is why taking care of your blemishes much before that is absolutely essential. How do you do that? Here are some tips that should keep your skin clean and nice:

  • ·         Start the skin prep months ahead of the wedding date proper and make sure you stick to a plan. No matter how good a product or a service may be, they will never be able to get you 100% blemish-free overnight. You do need to allow them to be efficient on your skin.
  • ·         Clean your face every morning and every evening before you go to bed. Make sure you use a foamy soap created especially for your type of skin and that you don’t use anything that dries out the skin too much. Contrary to the popular belief, dry skin is will not get you blemish-free. On the contrary, it may ruin your face even more.
  • ·         Apply proper hydration cream twice a day as well. Even if you have oilier skin, you still need hydration and choosing the right kind of cream can really go a long way when it comes to this.
  • ·         Once a week, apply a mask that is suitable for your type of skin. You can also use homemade natural masks as they are greatly efficient and they are really affordable too.
  • If you know you have been doing all these things and that you still have skin-related problems, visit a dermatologist or a cosmetologist a few months before the wedding. They will advise you what to do next!
  • As for the location of your wedding, don't forget about visiting Flourtown Country Club. We have the most superb venue to host your big day and it is very much likely that you will absolutely love it!

Dessert Stations your Guests will love

Weddings are sweet by nature, but when you want to offer your guests something sweet for their taste buds too, you know that there are million-and-one options available out there. Sure, the classic wedding cake is one thing, but wouldn’t it be great if you offered other dessert options too?

Your guests will be pleasantly surprised if you come up with a dessert station idea that is meant to sweeten their souls and their mouths as well. Read on and acquire some inspiration because we have put together some of the very best ideas for dessert stations we have found:
·         Mason jars with candy. Who doesn’t love candy? Even if you will be serving cake too, a candy bar can definitely please some of your guests. Place them in nicely decorated mason jars and you have an arrangement worth your guests’ smiles!
·         Mini-tiramisus. Tiramisu is a dessert most of the people love and this is why it makes for a great dessert station idea. Place these mini-tiramisus in small cups or glasses and make sure there are enough of them for everyone – because they will all want a taste of this delicious dessert!
·         Cupcakes. We all love cupcakes in all their colors and shapes. Why not serve them at your wedding? The best thing about this kind of dessert station is that you can choose the cupcake design in a way that will fit your wedding theme as well. Even more, arranged the right way and with little bride and groom figurines on top of them, cupcakes can double as the wedding cake too – especially if you have already grown tired of how many traditional wedding cakes you’ve seen so far!
Focus on what you would like most and Flourtown Country Club will take care of the rest. We offer a stunning location at your disposal and some wedding packages you will not be able to resist!
