Should You Have an Evening or Day Wedding?

Before you get to worry about the dress, the wedding schedule is one of the things you need to decide on quickly. Most couples conveniently pick an evening wedding. However, a wedding early in the day is more traditional and late in the day is more economical. The decision you have to take depends on other factors as well.

The Schedule of Your Guests

An evening wedding is a popular choice since some of your invited guests can still have work on the weekends. They will not be available until after 5. A wedding in the day is not that difficult to work with as well if held on a weekend. Though compared to an evening wedding, it will have a slightly lower turnout.

Budget

A wedding in the afternoon is the perfect solution for couples who want to stay in a specific budget range. Since the wedding takes place in the afternoon, you do not have to serve full meals or alcoholic beverages in contrast to evening weddings. You can save a good amount of money with food and venue.

Extra Wedding Attires

If you plan to wear a cocktail dress for the reception so you can dance the night away, a wedding in the day would hamper your plans. On the other hand, if you plan to wear your wedding dress throughout the whole ceremony and reception, then an afternoon wedding is ideal. The ceremony can start after lunch and end before dusk without time for changing into another outfit.

The Wedding Theme

One of the most influential factors in deciding whether you want a daytime or evening wedding is the theme. If you want an old Hollywood theme, choosing an evening wedding can bring out glamour. A daytime wedding can accommodate garden or winery themes. An afternoon wedding is versatile with themes although it can be ideal with homespun wedding themes.
