Your wedding day is one of the most important part of your
life. This is why you have to make sure that you only spend it with your
closest friends and family members. By creating a guest list, you can ensure
that the people whom you invite are only the ones who you want to show up.
Here is a list of the people who do not really need to
invite to your big day:
Acquaintances– When
you’re listing down names of people who you wish to invite to your wedding, you
will need to categorize people according to how close they are to you. The
people that you list down as just your acquaintances are mostly people you went
to school with or your colleagues from a different department. By listing down
the names according to how close they are to you, you get to determine whether
or not you should invite them.
Neighbors- You do
not need to invite your next door neighbor, especially if your conversation
does not get past a greeting.
Exes- As a
general rule, you should not invite exes to your wedding. No matter how close
you have gotten after the relationship, you will need to show that you respect
your spouse. By skipping out your ex, you can invite more important people to
your big day.
Distant Relatives- If
you have relatives whom you have not been introduced to in the past, there is
no reason why you should invite them. Especially if you have a tight budget and
only inviting a few people to your big day, you will have to skip these people
out.
When inviting guests to your wedding, there is one simple explanation
to whom gets invited and who doesn’t. If you haven’t talked to that person in
over a year, then that is someone you should not invite anymore. Don’t feel bad
about not inviting all the people that you know. After all, you’re only human
and you have a wedding budget.
